Although originally from Mankato, Minnesota, Judah has been involved in one way or another in the Boston music scene since he attended The Boston Conservatory for a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance.
Judah is well versed in a wide variety of percussion instruments, such as timpani, snare drum, marimba, octoban, glockenspiel and xylophone. His music is very influenced by the Middle East since during his schooling he spent time in Turkey where he learned how to play darbuka, davul and kaşık. However, he has worked with many different people playing a wide array of music: rock, pop, jazz, classical and theater.
Judah began his career playing local festivals, local community theater and weddings. Originally, he expected to be an orchestral percussionist and never expected the turn his career would take to becoming a sideman, playing short gigs with a number of bands and solo acts, but he enjoys the ever-changing work. Judah spends the time not attached to another act in the studio recording and tutoring the next generation of musicians on the weekend.
